Happy New Year from the officers and members of AHEPA Ypsilanti Chapter #118.  We wish everyone a safe, healthy and prosperous 2017.

Sunday, May 21 we’ll celebrate AHEPA Sunday and Scholarship Sunday.  On this day AHEPA and the Daughters will recognize their members and award their annual scholarships.  Mark your calendars for this special day.

Plans will soon be underway for our annual golf outing.  Stay tuned for more on this in future newsletters.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of or re-instating into Ypsilanti #118 can call Tony Capranica at 419-540-1150.

Applications are now available for the Ypsilanti Chapter #118 scholarship.  All applicants must meet the following criteria.

  1. Applicant or applicant’s parents must be a  member in good standing of one or more of the following organizations:
    – Maids of Athena
    – Daughters of Penelope Dodona Chapter #24
    – Order of AHEPA Ypsilanti Chapter #118
    – Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Toledo, Ohio
  2. The criteria to be considered in awarding scholarships will be based on:
    – Scholastic achievement: The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA
    – Leadership,
    – Extracurricular activities and,
    – Community involvement.
  3. Applicant must have been accepted by an accredited college of university.
  4. Scholarship funds will be sent in the applicants name directly to the office of admissions.
  5. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books or fees.
  6. All scholarship funds must be returned if the applicant does not successfully complete the first academic year.
  7. Your scholarship application will not be processed unless all required information is provided.
