The end of summer is around the corner, the kids are heading back to school, and the Holy Trinity Greek Festival is almost upon us.  This also means that your local AHEPA chapter meetings will be starting again soon.

Our regular meetings will be held September thru June on the first Thursday of each month.  Several meetings will be held jointly with the Daughters chapter.  Since the first meeting in September falls during festival week we’ll push that meeting back to September 14th.  Look for the notice in your email or regular postal mail.

This is a special year for the Ahepans, Daughters and Maids when Toledo will be hosting the AHEPA District #11 Convention.  The convention will take place June 15th & 16th, 2018 at the Park Inn in downtown Toledo.  The last convention held in Toledo was a great success and we are planning to make this convention just as successful.  The convention will bring in delegates from all over Ohio and parts of West Virginia and Kentucky.  To make this event a success will require volunteers from all three Orders, so if called upon please respond with whatever time, talent or treasure you can provide.

Congratulations to Joyce Anagnos on her election to a second term as Daughters District Governor.  It’s a great honor and we’re all very proud of you.  Tony Capranica was also re-elected as the District Lt. Governor.

Tony Capranica was honored with the Cleisthenes award at the Awards Luncheon held at the District Convention.  The Cleisthenes award is presented to an Ahepan who has served the District and their local chapter in many different areas throughout the years.  Axios!

As always, Ypsilanti #118 is looking for new members and encouraging former brothers to re-join.  If you would like to join or re-instate into the Order of AHEPA please visit us on Ministry Sunday, September 24th after church during fellowship.  Stop by the Holy Trinity Festival food tent and say hello to the brothers grilling souvlaki.  For more information, checkout or
