Cookbook Committee Chairman Pam Martin would like to again extend a huge thank you to all who helped make the 2016 Cooking Class Series a great success. She gives a very special thanks to authentic Greek chefs Olympia Ntakos, Andreas  and Maria Petros, Connie Mynihan, Maria Melas,  Jim Mitsopoulos and Helen Matthews  who made it all possible with their excellent instruction, hard work and devotion – each class was unique and so enjoyable. Pam added that the Cooking Class Committee was terrific as always, as were the many volunteers who offered advice to students while they created their take home dishes. She also expressed her appreciation to Carole Faoiz and Terry Timmons for all of their behind the scenes assistance. With the combined efforts of everyone, positive feedback was received from students who want to return to learn more!

Our Community Cookbook is loaded with recipes to make your culinary choices easy throughout the holiday season – many are time-honored traditions which evoke precious memories of cooking, eating and celebrating with loved ones.

In addition to taking the pressure off holiday entertaining decisions, let Olives, Feta, Phyllo & More! make gift giving easy as well. Keep in mind that this cookbook is not only a collection of recipes, but also a culmination of touching anecdotal remembrances and fascinating historical food facts, making it “that special present”.  And to enhance your gift, matching aprons are available for $15. Both can be purchased online using Paypal and at the Church Bookstore. And for your convenience in December, gift wrapped issues and aprons will be on sale at Sunday’s Coffee Hours.

The Cookbook Committee wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
