The Daughters of Penelope would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year

Our December Christmas Dinner and Meeting was a cheerful event. Food from the Brandywine Country Club was delicious with the service and setting elegant.

Reflecting on last year’s award, Dodona #24 received the 2016 award for the Most Creative Idea. The Most Creative Idea was the brain child of our very own president, Marina Cooper. Who else would think of “Jello Shots” while traveling to the casino, only the Toledo, Ohio Chapter!  After reflecting on last year we moved on to the New Year’s possibilities.

Last year our Chapter 24 helped fundraise and support District Projects Truncus Arteriosus, Buckeye Scholarship Foundation, and Maids of Athena; National Projects Sjorgren’s Syndrome Foundation, Penelope House and Penelope Place.  This year our Chapter 24 will be supporting District Projects:  National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.nami.org), Buckeye Scholarship Foundation, Maids of Athena; National Projects Penelope House, Penelope Place, and Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation (www.sjogren’s.org).
