Where Can You Get An Education for $18.75?

Recently, Dr. Sieben and I were planning for the upcoming Church School year. In the process, we were going over the budget for 2008-09 which $1500.00 is allocated for our religious education program. I then took the number of students enrolled which is 80 and divided it by $1500.00 and we discovered to educate our students in the Orthodox Faith costs $18.75 per pupil. Through your stewardship contributions we are able to provide; text-books, arts and crafts supplies, promotional gifts, various supplies and dedicated teachers who are eager to share their faith. Now I ask you where can you get a good education for only $18.75 a year? At Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. So please make the commitment to have your children enrolled and ready to start classes on Sunday, October 5th. Please attend the Divine Liturgy as a family and be present so the kids can hear and see Fr. Ari’s sermon in the bag. Church School classes meet following Holy Communion.

October Closet Clean Out

Our Church School will once again begin collecting clothing, in good condition for the Annual October Closet Clean Out. Please bring the clothes in plastic bags, and place them in the trophy room. In turn, they will be donated to the various Toledo missions.

Bank A Sunday on November 30th

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, we will have “Bank a Sunday.” No student will be marked absent. However, anyone who does attend Church School that day can receive an attendance credit. This credit can be used to eliminate an absence. For example, if a student has been absent six times during the year, they can use the attendance credit and it will eliminate one absence and be marked absent only five times.

High School Class Continues Collecting Food to support the various Food Banks.

They will be collecting can goods or cereals in October and in November Toothbrush and tooth paste. Thank you for your continued support.
