Holy Trinity Cathedral

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, situated at the threshold of Toledo’s central business district, serves the spiritual needs of 800 Christian souls in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.  Though 1915 marks its date of incorporation, the city’s Greek Orthodox faithful worshiped in various rented halls from 1909 until 1919 when construction began on the Byzantine structure at 802 N. Superior Street. The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the “new” church building on Christmas Day, 1920.  The parish was elevated to a Cathedral in 1987.

Today, the 450 family parish is a part of the Metropolis of Detroit, of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The parish is ministered by Rev. Fr. Larry Legakis.
